Well worth a stop. Hike into canyon was steep with heavy sticky and slippy mud. A few made the descent. But a lot of folks gave up

Horseshoe Canyon is a spectacular natural area in the Alberta Badlands. The geographical formations with their multicoloured layers are stunning! Until you get right up to the edge of the canyon, you don't even know it's there because it's carved out of the flat prairie. Amazing sight.

Great place to see the sudden change from prairies to badlands. Wonderful place to go for a hike and explorer. If you are not into hiking they do have helicopter tours during the spring and summer.

Bring your hiking shoes! Great place to go for a walk, but be prepared. Don't go in flip flops. They have picnic tables and some great spots to check out the view. Also a small fossil shop.
